Early Literacy Night

Post date: Dec 12, 2013 2:22:23 PM

Reading is essential to school and life success. Parents are a child’s first teacher and have a great deal of influence in preparing their children to be successful learners. Loudon Elementary School wants to help. On Tuesday, January 14, 2014 LES will host an early literacy night. This is for any Loudon resident who has children at LES, will have children at LES, or plan to have children someday. The program will run from 6 to 8 PM.

University of New Hampshire professor, Cynthia Merrill, will present strategies and activities that can be done at home to develop reading ability. The more prepared a child is entering kindergarten, the more likely he/she will be to perform proficiently in all academic areas.

Please share this letter with your friends, neighbors, and relatives who may benefit from this evening’s events. It is only for two hours, but may have a lifetime of benefits for a child.

Please call Mrs. Muzzey at 783-4400 to reserve a spot.
